Pretend play!

Just last week you started doing something that blew my mind. Pretend play! Woah!!! There are so many neural processes that need to be in place for this kind of play behavior that I wasn’t expecting it for a while. But oh goodness, you showed mommy!! I love thinking about what neural substrates are mediating this pretend play and I’m just giddy at your developmental progress! You never cease to amaze me each and every day!!!

Below you are pretending to feed your baby, tucking in your bedtime bunny and creating a makeshift bed for yourself on the floor! Haha. I love you monkey! 😂

I so love that diaper. And this baby. Isn’t child development incredible? For a neuroscientist, It must be like your own mini science experiment watching her grow!!!
