35 Weeks!

Baby girl!!! Happy 35 weeks to us!!!! We are HUGE this week haha. Daddy thinks we’re still cute so that makes me feel better, but boy oh boy we are huge! Torpedo tummy in full effect! 🙂

Here’s what you look like from the outside this week!

Symptoms: Fetal movement, fetal hiccups, braxton hicks, shortness of breath, fatigue, sciatica, edema, insomnia, hunger, furry tummy, vaginal discharge, protruding belly button, congestion, tight tingly breasts

Weight Gain: 21.5lbs

Here’s what babycenter.com has to say about your development this week:

Your baby doesn’t have much room to maneuver now that he’s over 18 inches long and tips the scales at 5 1/4 pounds (pick up a honeydew melon). Because it’s so snug in your womb, he isn’t likely to be doing somersaults anymore, but the number of times he kicks should remain about the same. His kidneys are fully developed now, and his liver can process some waste products. Most of his basic physical development is now complete — he’ll spend the next few weeks putting on weight.

Sweet princess, I will admit this week has been a bit challenging as I’m finding it not so easy to be able to do all the things I normally do…get in and out of the car easily, bend down to pick something up, walk, sleep, breathe haha. I could go on, but the truth is, I don’t mind in the least! I’m still enjoying this time with you. You’ll be here in only 5 weeks and this pregnancy will be over. I’m savoring baby girl…every last drop!

Happy 35 weeks!!!

About Em

After the loss of our first pregnancy, we took a much needed vacation to Costa Rica to enjoy each other and clear our minds. Well, as luck would have it, we brought home much more than great memories and great tans...our own little Costa Rican souvenir. Here is our journey!

    Baby Em,

I wish you could see your Mommy now. This is the time in her life where, aside from being the cutest baby and child you ever saw, she is now shining like a very bright star. She looks beautiful, she shines, she looks (and I’m sure is) healthier than ever….. and all if this because of you. Happy 35th week my darling. I love you both so much!!

I remember the last few weeks being challenging. The belly held me back, which is frustrating, if you’re used to being active. And you feel like there is SO much to DO! But I’m thinking maybe it’s for the best that you’re forced to take things slow, or you’ll wear yourself out completely. If you were training for a marathon, now would be the time to start to taper 🙂
