30 Weeks!

We made it to 30 weeks!!! Oh.My.God. I am so stinkin excited!! How is it possible that we only have 10 weeks left until you’re here?! Baby, what a milestone…30 weeks! That just sounds SO pregnant haha! This journey has seriously been so fun and exciting and such a soul-searching time for your mommy. As nervous as I get to have my whole world flipped upside down, I am also so excited and welcome the change. It’s just been daddy and me for the past 10.5 years. We’re ready for you baby girl! Man, 30 weeks!

Here’s what you look like from the outside this week!

Symptoms: Fetal movement, fetal hiccups, sciatica (oy this is getting so bad!), shortness of breath, heart flutters, tight tingly breasts, braxton hicks, hungry, emotional, linea negra, insomnia

Weight Gain: 16lbs

Here’s what babycenter.com has to say about your development this week:

Your baby’s about 15.7 inches long now, and she weighs almost 3 pounds (like a head of cabbage). A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds her, but that volume will decrease as she gets bigger and takes up more room in your uterus. Her eyesight continues to develop, though it’s not very keen; even after she’s born, she’ll keep her eyes closed for a good part of the day. When she does open them, she’ll respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision — which means she can only make out objects a few inches from her face. (Normal adult vision is 20/20.)

I’m not going to lie, this is all still pretty surreal my precious little girl. It feels like someone else is 30 weeks pregnant, not me! But I am, and we are!! 30 weeks pregnant!! Total homestretch!! I guess we should get back to getting your nursery ready haha. I love you baby girl!!!

About Em

After the loss of our first pregnancy, we took a much needed vacation to Costa Rica to enjoy each other and clear our minds. Well, as luck would have it, we brought home much more than great memories and great tans...our own little Costa Rican souvenir. Here is our journey!
